Local celebrity Pete Atkins has been bugging our brewer to make a mid strength since the dawn of time (well, at least 6 months). Oisín finally relented and the result is Pete’s Gift. Not your normal ‘watered down lager’ mid strength, Pete’s Gift is a deep auburn with a rich maltiness, derived from a carefully constructed grain bill of six different malts. The malt backbone, combined with the clean, refreshing finish delivered by Styrian Golding hops makes this a hugely drinkable beer – and one that will make you forget you’re drinking a mid strength.
