Benji Fowler is widely known for fronting numerous successful NSW bands and musical projects. Since returning from a hiatus in remote Solomon Islands Benji has formed Benji and the Saltwater Sound System. This band has quickly gained a reputation in the Australian music scene as an up and coming force to be reckoned with.
Benji’s music fuses pacific flavours with the raw sounds of the Australian East Coast. With a band behind him he creates hypnotic soundscapes underpinned by painfully catchy melodies. When you hear him solo his beautifully poignant lyrics and prowess for songwriting are unmistakable and magnetic.
Benji has had the honour of playing at numerous acclaimed festivals, venues and events. These include Woodford Folk Festival, the National Folk Festival, Peak Festival, Granite Town, Summer Rhythm, Palm Creek Folk Festival, Sydney Blues Festival, Springfest and Illawarra Folk Festival just to name a few.
