Jervis Bay Brewing Co., situated in the Huskisson industrial estate in the heart of Jervis Bay is open to Expressions Of Interest (EOI) via a tender process for a food service operator to work with the brewery to enhance the customer experience onsite.
What’s in it for the operator?
Sole-operator to our Duranbah Drive taproom for the service of food to our many customers visiting throughout the year. Opportunity to service takeaway to those just wanting to grab a meal and run. Based on our two years of operations, we estimate an average of;
500 + meals per week in off peak (May – Sept)
1500 + meals per week in peak (Oct – April).
What are the hours & days of operation?
Typically 5-days a week outside of holidays (Weds-Sun), 7-days during holiday periods, 12pm until 8pm for meal service unless otherwise agreed with the taproom Management. Occasionally, special events may require extended operating periods.
Who can apply?
The tender is open to food truck and catering operators as well as experienced Chefs looking for change.
How long is the contract?
12-months negotiable
Do I need my own food truck?
No, your own food truck is not essential, the brewery is open to the possibility of investing in the infrastructure. The quality of candidate and cultural fit is more important.
What kind of food are you looking for?
In short, “good beer food” on a rotating menu with specials to keep the menu interesting as well as to showcase local produce and tie in to our beer menu from time to time.
What sort of financial arrangement are you looking for?
This really depends on who is applying and what they bring to the agreement though typically we are expecting a % of revenue from the food operator. This is negotiable. For Chef’s applying, employment is an option also.
