Our taproom membership was never really about just saving a few bucks on beer. It’s about being part of your local independent brewery. The kind of place that knows your name, pours your first taste of a new release, and reckons good beer is better when it’s shared.
The discounts are nice. The free beers are even nicer. But it’s the little moments in between that make being a Hoptimist worth topping up.

Last year we brewed around 30 new beers. If you’d claimed every free schooner, added your birthday beer and taken advantage of your member discounts, you’d have come out well in front. Not that we’re keeping score.

Booking a brewery function? Hoptimists can skip the usual deposit, leaving a few extra dollars where they belong.

Every so often we’ll invite Hoptimists into the brewery to taste beer straight from the bright tank. Before it’s kegged. Before it’s poured across the bar. Sometimes before we’ve even decided whether it’s finished.
You’ll hear what we’re brewing, why we’re brewing it and occasionally even help shape what comes next.
We’ve got plenty of other ideas brewing too. Members’ nights. Brewery catch-ups. Maybe even a Hoptimists’ Choice beer.
Because while discounts are great, the best part of being a Hoptimist is feeling like you’re part of the brewery, not just another customer.
Every Friday at 7pm, we ring the bell, pull a ticket and a lucky member gets to spin the Hoptimist Wheel.

You’ve got to be there to win, which is really just another good excuse to stick around and have another beer with your mates.
Alongside your year-round perks, we’ll be pouring in a fresh members-only special every month. It might be a deal on beer, early access to an event, or something mad we’ve dreamt up behind the bar. Every month is a little different, but the idea stays the same: another good reason to drop in and another little thank you for supporting your local brewery.
