Charity of the Month – Wildlife Rescue South Coast

For February we are supporting Wildlife Rescue South Coast as our Charity of the Month! To help us raise funds, come play some Trivia, show support for our Open Mic night or just come in for a beer sometime. Gold coin donations, $5 per keg of beer sold for the month and on top of that the staff donate their tips, all this goes towards our raising efforts each month!

Now, a bit about the association: Wildlife Rescue South Coast is a not-for-profit association dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife to enable them to be released back into their native habitat where possible. They operate within the Shoalhaven area, Southern Highlands and Tablelands, and the South Coast area of NSW to the Victorian border. Their 24-hour rescue phone is receiving over 10,000 calls per year!

Proceeds of raising funds for this organisation will go towards the feeding, housing and medical treatment of injured or native wildlife. Our members are all volunteers, who care for the animals in their own homes, and often personally bear much of these costs. These funds will enable Wildlife Rescue South Coast to offer greater assistance to their members by covering more of the costs associated with caring for the animals, including animal food, veterinary expenses, travel expenses, and the replacement, or improvement, of aviaries, cages, enclosures and other essential items required to provide the best level of care to these precious animals.
